Afterlight Terms

A memorial companion, not therapy or resurrection.

Afterlight helps people preserve memories, write unfinished letters, and receive clearly labeled AI-generated reflections. It is not medical care, therapy, emergency support, legal advice, or a way to recreate or contact a deceased person.

Acceptable use

Users may not submit content requesting illegal activity, violence, hateful content, exploitation, harassment, or self-harm encouragement. We may block unsafe requests and limit features that create dependency or confusion.

AI outputs

AI outputs are generated reflections based on user-provided context. They may be incomplete or inaccurate and should not be treated as statements from a deceased person.

Payments and care pledge

Paid access may be provided through Apple in-app purchases, Stripe, or service-issued entitlements such as promo codes. Refund and donation options depend on the payment provider and applicable platform rules.

Changes

These terms may evolve as Afterlight moves from early access toward public launch. Material changes should be communicated in the app or on the website.
